LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska quarterback Chubba Purdy will get his second start of the year against Iowa on Friday.

Head coach Matt Rhule announced Wednesday that Purdy, who started in last week’s loss to Wisconsin, will be QB1 again.

“I thought he practiced really well this week,” Rhule said.  “So it was really not much of a debate in our minds.”

Quarterback Heinrich Haarberg is still dealing with an injury and will serve as an emergency backup, according to Rhule.

In the Wisconsin game, Purdy threw for 169 yards and rushed for 105 yards.

He had a touchdown pass and rushed for a score in the first quarter.
