Nebraska ranked 22nd in amount of registered sex offenders per capita

Nebraska is one of the top 25 states with the most registered sex offenders, according to a new report.

The website asecurelife.com found Nebraska ranks 22nd for registered sex offenders, with 289 registered for every 100,000 people.

Data was compiled from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The state with the most sex offenders per capita was Oregon, Maryland had the least.

Iowa is ranked 41st.
