LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska school employee is facing several charges including child abuse and sexual assault.

The Imperial Police Department arrested Jeremiah Vlasin with help from the Nebraska State Patrol.

He’s accused of grooming, which the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network says is a common tool for people who sexually abuse kids.

RAINN describes grooming as “manipulative behaviors that the abuser uses to gain access to a potential victim, coerce them to agree to the abuse, and reduce the risk of being caught.”

NSP and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office are continuing to assist IPD with this case.

They’re asking anyone with information to call Anna Brewer with the Attorney General’s Office at (402) 480-8473.

You can also contact Officer Bustillos with the Imperial Police Department (308) 882-4400.
