Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen launches reelection campaign

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Secretary of State Bob Evnen announced his campaign for reelection Friday in the rotunda of the state Capitol.

“I’m running for reelection so that I can continue to fight for our conservative values and the Nebraska way of life,” he said.

Speaker of the Legislature John Arch, Lt. Gov. Joe Kelly, and Sen. Deb Fischer joined Evnen to give their endorsement.

Evnen was initially sworn in as Nebraska’s 27th secretary of state in 2019.

The secretary of state oversees elections, business services, licensing, record management and international relations.

“I’m proudly pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-family and pro-Nebraska,” Evnen said.

Before his time as Secretary of State, Evnen’s career included 40 years as a labor attorney and served eight years on the State Board of Education.

He is a Lincoln native, father of three and grandfather of three.
