Nebraska soccer dominates Southern Indiana in season opener

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska hammered Southern Indiana on Thursday night in its home and season opener.

The Huskers won 6-0 behind a suffocating attack, their largest season-opening win since 1996. 

Nebraska went up 2-0 at the break, having a clear 11-2 edge with their shots.

The Big Red scored four goals in the second half behind 13 shots from the team.

All told, Nebraska outshot Southern Indiana 24-6.

NU will be back at Barbara Hibner Stadium versus the Missouri State Bears on Sunday. The game is set for 1:05 p.m. and will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
