Nebraska softball headed to Baton Rouge for NCAA tournament regional

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 19-ranked Nebraska softball team found out its placement in the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

The Huskers will head to the Baton Rouge Regional — hosted by LSU — joining UConn and Southeast Louisiana.

Nebraska will be a No. 2 seed in that regional, matching up with No. 3 UConn on Friday at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

The Huskers head into the tournament with a 39-13 record and are coming off a loss to No. 9 UCLA in the Big Ten Tournament.

This will be head coach Rhonda Revelle’s first trip back to Baton Rouge for the NCAA tournament in ten years.

But she say’s she’s pleased with how this year’s group has handled this season, saying they are more confident than ever.

“They weren’t excited. It was excited like, ‘lets continue on’,” said Revelle. “I like that. There seems to be a confidence in them.”
