Nebraska softball splits pair of games in day one of the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – No. 8 Nebraska softball took down No. 10 LSU 6-0 on Thursday afternoon.

Alexis Jensen picked up the win, and Jordy Frahm collected the save while also going 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs.

The Huskers handed the Tigers their first loss of the season in the shutout.

In the Huskers’ second game of the day, they took on No. 17 Georgia.
Nebraska went down 6-2 after three innings of play.
Big Red fought all the way back to make it a one-score game, but could not quite pull off the comeback, falling 6-5.

N0. 8 Nebraska will face No. 3 Tennessee tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., in a Super Regional rematch from last season.
