Nebraska softball’s Jordyn Bahl earns fourth weekly honor of season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Big Ten Conference honored Nebraska softball’s Jordyn Bahl once again Monday, naming her Big Ten Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Across the Huskers’ three wins last week, Bahl notched an ERA of 1.27 and a 2-0 record from the circle.
Bahl’s pitching and offense were both large parts of Nebraska’s series sweep over Northwestern, which was the Wildcats’ first conference series loss since 2022.
Two of the Huskers’ wins over Northwestern came in run-rule fashion, and it was the first time the Wildcats have been run-ruled in back-to-back games since 2017.
Against Creighton on Wednesday, Bahl threw six innings and allowed only 1 run while striking out eight batters.
In the first game against Northwestern on Saturday, the Papillion native fanned 11 batters for her fifth double-digit strikeout outing of the year while only allowing 1 run and two hits.
Offensively, Bahl marked a .545 batting average with seven RBIs, six hits and 4 runs scored. She also hit a home run against Creighton and in the first game against the Wildcats.
Bahl and the rest of the Huskers will play a two-game series against Indiana starting Friday at 5 p.m. at Bowlin Stadium.
