Nebraska State Patrol arrests Nevada homicide suspect in downtown Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Nevada homicide suspect on Thursday while also seizing more than 250 suspected fentanyl pills.
An investigator with the NSP was at a local business in downtown Omaha when they saw and smelled marijuana on the suspect in plain sight.
As the investigator tried to approach the suspect, he attempted to flee.
The man threw a small package of pills while fleeing the investigator, but the investigator was able to quickly arrest the suspect.
The suspect was identified as Samario Williams, 34, of Nevada. Williams had an active warrant out for his arrest in connection with a homicide investigation in Las Vegas.
Investigators determined that the package of pills contained 270 suspected fentanyl pills.
Williams was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on multiple charges.
NSP said they are coordinating with the Las Vegas Police Department for their investigation.
