Nebraska State Patrol helicopter helps track stolen vehicle in Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was caught Sunday with a stolen vehicle in north Lincoln, police say.
Around 7:15 p.m., an officer saw the stolen Chevy Malibu near Portia and Knox streets.
The Nebraska State Patrol’s helicopter started following the vehicle as it traveled across Lincoln, according to police.
An officer later tried pulling over the vehicle at 21st and A streets, but the driver refused to stop, police said.
The helicopter tracked the Chevy until it stopped at a home near where the officer initially spotted the vehicle.
Officers then arrested 21-year-old Markel Wilson on suspicion of several charges, including theft and willful reckless driving.
