Nebraska State Patrol investigating crash involving Hall County deputy

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Hall County deputy was involved in a crash on Tuesday southwest of Grand Island, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. on Highway 30 about 1 mile east of Wood River.

The deputy struck a Chevrolet Silverado when they made a U-turn to pull over a vehicle, the patrol said.

The Chevrolet came to a stop in a ditch, and the driver was taken to a Grand Island hospital with minor injuries.

The deputy was not injured.  An investigation is ongoing.
