Nebraska Task Force One returning home after helping with Helene, Milton response

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Task Force One crews are heading back home, Lincoln Fire & Rescue announced Saturday.
Several members of NE-TF1 helped in search and rescue efforts in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
On Sept. 25, 45 members of the team were sent to the Southeast, just a day before Helene made landfall.

An additional 29 members of NE-TF1 were deployed on Wednesday as Milton made landfall.
LFR says it’s “very proud” of the work the team accomplished.
Some NE-TF1 members will be flying back, while other crews will be driving home.
