Nebraska troopers find 147 pounds of marijuana in traffic stop near Aurora

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Texas man found himself behind bars in Nebraska on Wednesday after a trooper found a trailer full of marijuana.

Around 12:10 p.m., a trooper pulled over a pickup truck that was hauling a U-Haul trailer on Interstate 80 near Aurora.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the truck was driving on the shoulder.

During the traffic stop, a trooper saw a bag of marijuana inside the truck.

Inside the trailer, troopers found 147 pounds of marijuana, the patrol said.

The driver, 48-year-old Renell Luckett, was arrested on suspicion of possessing more than 1 pound of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver.

He was lodged in the Hamilton County Jail.
