LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Kearney man was arrested Friday after troopers found 2 pounds of marijuana in his home, the patrol says.

Investigators served a search warrant at 29-year-old Joshua Rose’s home near University Drive and Lincoln Highway, the Nebraska State Patrol said Monday.

Inside, troopers found the marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia, THC products and over $5,000 in suspected drug sale profits.

Two small children were in the same room as the drugs, the patrol said.

Rose was arrested on suspicion of possessing controlled substances with intent to distribute, two counts of child abuse and possession of drug currency.

He was taken to the Buffalo County Jail, and the children were placed in protective care, according to the patrol.
