Nebraska troopers find 55 pounds of cocaine in car near York, patrol says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Friday after troopers found 55 pounds of cocaine in his car, the Nebraska State Patrol says.
Around 7:45 a.m., a trooper saw a vehicle with a license plate violation parked at a rest area near York.
After becoming “suspicious of criminal activity,” troopers searched 38-year-old Nicandro Garcia-Perez’s vehicle, the patrol said.
Troopers found 55 pounds of suspected cocaine hidden inside the spare tire compartment, according to the patrol.
Garcia-Perez – who is from Chino Hills, California – was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine and possession with intent to deliver.
He was lodged in the York County Jail.
