LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were arrested Sunday after Nebraska troopers found several drugs and weapons in a vehicle on Interstate 80.

Around 9:25 p.m., a trooper pulled over a vehicle that was going 100 mph on I-80 east of Kearney.

During the traffic stop, the trooper smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, which led to a search, the Nebraska State Patrol said.

Inside, troopers found two handguns, two sets of brass knuckles, dozens of pills and 37 grams of marijuana.

The patrol said three children were also in the vehicle, and one of the kids was not wearing a seat belt.

Podjo Rowe, 36, of California, and Liani Feliciano, 29, of Ohio, were arrested on suspicion of several charges, including child abuse and possessing controlled substances.

Rowe was additionally cited on suspicion of possessing a firearm by a prohibited person and failure to use a child restraint.

Both were lodged in the Buffalo County Jail, and the children have been placed in protective care, the patrol said.
