Nebraska volleyball falls in rankings, gets top-10 matchup with Creighton

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The American Volleyball Coaches Association released its weekly rankings on Monday, slotting Nebraska at No. 5 in the country.
The Huskers were previously ranked No. 2 but fell after getting swept by SMU on Tuesday.
SMU did not make a showing in the Top 25.
Six Big Ten teams are ranked in the Top 25: No. 3 Penn State, No. 5 Nebraska, No. 7 Purdue, No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 12 Oregon and No. 19 Minnesota.
Pittsburgh took the top spot for the first time in school history, while previously No. 1-ranked Texas fell to No. 6 in the poll.
Nebraska will host undefeated and No. 9-ranked Creighton in the first top-10 matchup at the Devaney Center on Tuesday.
