Nebraska volleyball moves spring match in Kearney to larger venue

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska volleyball’s spring match in Kearney is moving to a larger venue, officials announced Tuesday.

The spring match on May 4 was initially going to be played at Kearney High School, which holds about 3,000 people.

But to accommodate more fans, the match will be moved to the 5,000-seat Health and Sports Center at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

Tickets go on sale on April 2 at 10 a.m… at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.  All tickets are general admission and must be purchased in person with cash only.

The doors to Nebraska’s match against Denver will open at 12:30 p.m.  The Huskers will sign autographs after the game.

The game will be televised on Nebraska Public Media and streamed on Big Ten Plus.

Since 2007, Nebraska has played spring matches in North Platte, Scottsbluff, Grand Island, Norfolk, Wayne, Ogallala, Kearney and McCook.
