LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska volleyball is moving up a spot in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

In the updated poll Monday, the Huskers sit at No. 4 after sweeping Utah State, Lipscomb and SMU over the weekend.

Before the season started, Nebraska was ranked fifth.

Texas, which was ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll, moved down to seventh after a loss to Long Beach State in its season opener.

The current top three teams — Wisconsin, Stanford and Louisville — went undefeated in their first few games.

Nebraska will continue its season Wednesday with a match in Memorial Stadium against UNO.
