Nebraska volleyball ranked No. 3 in final AVCA Poll

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Following its loss to Texas A&M in the regional final of the NCAA Tournament, the Nebraska volleyball team fell two spots in the final AVCA poll of the season.
In the poll released on Monday, the Huskers ranked No. 3 with 1,385 total points.
The national champion Aggies took the No. 1 spot with all 61 first-place votes and 1,525 points.
Texas A&M defeated three No. 1 seeds en route to its first national championship in program history.

Other teams receiving votes include Penn State (82), Kansas State (36), Michigan (30) and Northern Iowa (29).
Cal Poly was the only previously unranked team to crack the top 25.
The Mustangs put together a magical tournament run, beating both BYU and Southern California in five sets before getting swept by Kentucky in the round of 16.
Penn State fell out of the top 25 after getting swept by Texas in the round of 32.
