Nebraska volleyball secures fifth straight sweep with win over Rutgers

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska volleyball’s East Coast road trip ended with two sweeps after a win over Rutgers on Saturday.
The Huskers won the three sets: 25-17, 25-15 and 25-16. A day prior, Nebraska swept reigning national champions Penn State.
It is Nebraska’s fifth sweep in a row. The Huskers hit .390 and held Rutgers to .061.
Harper Murray led Nebraska with 11 kills, and Askyler Pierce and Andy Jackson followed right behind with six.
The Huskers had 14 blocks, as Manaia Ogbechie put up a career-high eight.
Nebraska now prepares for a home match against Washington on Oct. 10 against Washington.
