Nebraska volleyball starts season with win over Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KLKN) – No. 2 Nebraska started its season on the right foot with a four-set win over No. 9 Kentucky at the AVCA First Serve Showcase in Louisville.
The Huskers had to rally from an early deficit to win set one 25-21.
The Wildcats answered with a 25-22 win in set two.
With the match knotted at 1-1, Nebraska found its grove and dominated in set three.
The Huskers won 25-15 to go up 2-1.
Nebraska and Kentucky battled in set four, but the Huskers proved too much, winning 25-20.
The Huskers took advantage of 16 services errors by the Wildcats to only seven by Nebraska.
Nebraska has now won 11 straight games versus Kentucky.
The Huskers move to 1-0 on the season.
Next up for the Red and White will be Texas A&M-Corpus Christi back in the Devaney Center on Friday at 7 p.m.
