Nebraska volleyball stumps Wisconsin, punches ticket to Final Four
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska volleyball team punched its ticket to the Final Four on Sunday, sweeping the Wisconsin Badgers for the third time this season.
The Huskers won 26-24, 25-17, 25-21 at the Bob Devaney Center in the NCAA Regional final.
Nebraska played strong defense throughout the match, holding the Badgers to a .126% hitting percentage and tallying 12 blocks.
As a team, the Huskers had a .210% hitting percentage. Taylor Landfair led the charge for Nebraska with 13 kills on 30 total attacks.
Andi Jackson and Harper Murray each had 10 kills, with Jackson posting a .474% hitting percentage.
Lexi Rodriguez led the team in digs with 17, while Murray tallied 12. Bergen Reilly commanded the offense with 29 assists.
Rebekah Allick was a force at the net, racking up six blocks to lead the Big Red. She also posted five kills on nine total attacks.
Wisconsin was paced in kills and digs by reigning National Player of the Year Sarah Franklin. She posted 12 digs on 47 total attacks and nine digs.
Nebraska will now head to Louisville to take on the winner of Creighton and Penn State in the National Semifinal. First serve for that match is at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The National Semifinal featuring Nebraska will be on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN.
