Nebraska volleyball’s Rebekah Allick, Bergen Reilly earn Big Ten weekly honors

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska volleyball’s Bergen Reilly and Rebekah Allick both were honored with Big Ten weekly conference awards on Monday.
Reilly was named Big Ten Co-Setter of the Week, while Allick was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
This marks Reilly’s 12th career Big Ten Setter of the Week accolade and third of the season.

Reilly set the Huskers to another outstanding weekend of offensive performances.
The Huskers hit a combined .372 in sweeps at No. 11 Wisconsin and vs. Oregon, with Reilly averaging 10.67 assists per set and 2.17 digs per set.
She also recorded five kills and five blocks.
At Wisconsin, Reilly tallied 38 assists, eight digs, four blocks and three kills as the Huskers hit .349 against the second-best defensive team in the Big Ten.
It was the highest hitting percentage allowed by Wisconsin at the UW Field House since 2012.
Against Oregon, the junior setter finished with 26 assists, five digs, two kills and a block as Nebraska hit .405, its third-best efficiency of the season.
For the season, Reilly has the Huskers on a school-record pace with a .339 hitting percentage, which leads the nation.
The Huskers have hit over .300 in 13 straight matches, a school record in the rally-scoring era (2001-present).
Allick was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career and the second time this season.

Allick racked up 11 blocks (1.83 per set) in Nebraska’s two victories. She added 2.00 kills per set on a .500 hitting percentage as well.
The senior middle blocker had six blocks at Wisconsin to help the top-ranked Huskers stifle the nation’s No. 2-ranked offense to a .175 hitting percentage.
She added seven kills on .538 hitting. Against Oregon on Sunday, Allick had five blocks with five kills on .444 hitting.
Allick became the fifth Husker in the rally-scoring era to surpass 500 career blocks on Sunday, as she now has 502.
The Huskers will look to keep their 13-game sweep streak alive against Illinois on Thursday.
