Nebraska Wesleyan’s Hunter Hanke earns Team of the Week honors with standout performance

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska Wesleyan senior defensive lineman Hunter Hanke was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for week six.
This honor — now in its 27th season — recognizes the top player at each position nationally every week.
Hanke’s performance in the Prairie Wolves’ 31-28 loss to Loras College on Saturday included 10 total tackles, three sacks, five tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
Hanke is the second Nebraska Wesleyan player to earn this award since Shaka Taylor in 2017.
Currently ranked No. 21 in Division III with 5.0 sacks, Hanke has led the Prairie Wolves to a top-three total defense in the American Rivers Conference.
Nebraska Wesleyan (1-5, 1-3 A-R-C) will face No. 18 Central College on the road in Pella, Iowa, on Saturday.
