Nebraska woman accused of sixth DUI didn’t know what road she was on, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman is facing a felony DUI charge after a Friday morning traffic stop in northeast Nebraska.
Cristal Casanova, 31, of Madison was pulled over about 8:30 a.m. on Highway 275, according to the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened 6 miles east of Norfolk.
The sheriff’s office said Casanova appeared to be drunk and also had a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
She wasn’t even sure what highway she was on, according to authorities.
Casanova was taken to the sheriff’s office, where authorities said she failed a breath test.
She has five prior felony convictions.
Casanova was charged with third or subsequent offense DUI with a blood alcohol content over .150%.
In a press release, Sheriff Mike Unger said this case is a reminder that “dangerous Drunk Drivers are present at all times of the day and night.”
