Nebraska woman drove stolen vehicle with child inside, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was driving a child in a stolen vehicle Tuesday, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office says.

In the afternoon, a deputy saw a vehicle on Highway 24 that had been reported stolen.

The deputy pulled over the vehicle on 17th Street in Stanton.

The driver — 24-year-old Ellexys Wolff of Stanton — was arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving.

The sheriff’s office said a child was in the vehicle.  They have since been placed in the custody of another family member.
