Nebraska women’s basketball cast out Demons in season opener
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s basketball was victorious Monday in its season opener against Northwestern State.
The Huskers won 90-42. Jaz Shelley led Nebraska’s scoring effort with 17 points, including three shots from beyond the arc.
Darian White had nine rebounds, and Alexis Markowski had another eight.
Nebraska shot 42.6% from the field and made 28 of 33 free throws. The Huskers’ defense also combined for 12 steals and six blocks.
On Friday, Nebraska will take on Wyoming on the road at 7:30 p.m.
