Nebraska women’s basketball falls to Indiana in first round of Big Ten Tournament

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska women’s basketball team fell in the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday, losing to Indiana 72-69 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The Huskers held an 18-point lead in the third quarter, but the Hoosiers used a 38-15 run the rest of the way to steal the victory.
As a team, Nebraska shot 42% from the floor and 23% from beyond the arc, while Indiana shot 51% from the floor and 38% from deep.
Amiah Hargrove led the Huskers from the floor, scoring 23 points on 10-for-14 shooting.
Britt Prince, a recent first-team All-Big Ten selection, racked up 20 points on 7-for-19 shooting and dished out a team-high eight assists.
Jessica Petrie recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling in a team-high 10 rebounds. Logan Nissley also scored 12 points.
Nebraska’s chances in the NCAA Tournament are slim, but the Huskers will find out their postseason future during Selection Sunday on March 15.
