Nebraska women’s basketball moves on in Big Ten Tournament after win over Purdue

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s basketball rolled past Purdue in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday.

The Huskers won 64-56.  Nebraska will face Michigan State on Friday at 2 p.m.


Jaz Shelley led the Huskers offensively, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Callin Hake scored 15, and Alexis Markowski put up 12 points.  Markowski, a first-team All-Big Ten selection, also had seven rebounds and six assists.

Nebraska’s defense held Purdue to 36% shooting.  But the Boilermakers scored 27 points off of turnovers.
