Nebraska women’s basketball stomps Illinois State to stay undefeated

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s basketball continued its undefeated streak on Sunday with a win over Illinois State.

The Huskers hosted the Redbirds, defeating them 85-44.  No. 24 Nebraska moves to 11-0 on the season.

The Huskers had four players score double digits, with Petra Bozan leading the team with 14 points.

Nebraska’s offense has scored 80 or more points for the school-record 11th consecutive game.

The Huskers return to action when they close out the nonconference schedule with a game against Cal Baptist on Dec. 21 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

That game tips off at 11 a.m.

It’s part of a double header with the Nebraska men’s basketball team, which is also undefeated and coming off a win over No. 13 Illinois.

Fred Hoiberg and company will play North Dakota at 7 p.m.
