Nebraska’s Britt Prince earns first-team All-Big Ten honors; Hake earns second sportsmanship award

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Big Ten Conference announced its annual awards on Tuesday, and Nebraska’s Britt Prince earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from the media and second-team honors from the coaches.

Through 29 games as a sophomore, Prince is averaging a team-best 17.3 points per game while shooting 54.3% from the floor, including 45.6% from beyond the arc.

The Omaha native owns two 30-point performances, nine 20-point outings and 26 double-figure scoring games this season.

Prince is coming off her first career double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a win over Rutgers. She also added eight assists and two blocks.

She ranks 12th in the Big Ten in scoring and assists (4.4 apg), while ranking among the league leaders in field goal percentage (7th) and free throw percentage (90.1%, 2nd).

The two-time Nebraska High School Player of the Year out of Elkhorn North was a member of the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and an honorable mention all-conference player last season.

In addition to Prince’s All-Big Ten award, senior Callin Hake claimed Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive season.


The Victoria, Minnesota, native was Nebraska’s Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winner across all female sports in 2024-25.

Prince and Hake will lead NU against Indiana in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday in Indianapolis.
