Nebraska’s Merritt Beason, Bergen Reilly earn weekly Big Ten awards

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska’s Merritt Beason and Bergen Reilly have earned Big Ten awards in the same week, again.

The conference announced Monday that Beason was named the Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.

She averaged six kills per set on .447 hitting in wins against No. 16 Penn State and Rutgers.

In the reverse sweep at Penn State, Beason had a career-high 27 kills with five digs and three blocks.

Reilly was named Big Ten Setter of the Week, also for the fourth time this season.

She averaged 11.88 assists and 3.13 digs per set.  Reilly had 52 assists and 13 digs in the win against Penn State.
