Nebraska’s Queen is staying home: Lexi Rodriguez signs with LOVB Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – After wrapping up a record-breaking career at Nebraska on Thursday, Lexi Rodriguez signed with League One Volleyball Omaha.
The club announced Rodriguez’s signing on Saturday in a post on X:

LOVB, pronounced love, is a new volleyball league featuring pro teams from Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Omaha and Salt Lake City.
As a Husker, Rodriguez was named a four-time All-American, 2024 AVCA National Player of the Year finalist, 2021 AVCA Freshman of the Year and two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the year, just to name a few.
In her final match as a Husker, Rodriquez passed LOVB Omaha teammate Justine Wong-Orantes to become Nebraska volleyball’s all-time digs leader.
Rodriguez, Wong-Orantes, Jordan Larson, Lauren Stivrins and Madi Kubik-Banks are all the Huskers currently on LOVB Omaha’s roster.
