New course opening at Adventure Golf Center in Lincoln
"The Backwoods at Adventure Golf Center" opens at 6 p.m. on Wednesday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A new course at the Adventure Golf Center in Lincoln is being unveiled on Wednesday.
This will be the third course at the mini-golf center near 56th Street and Old Cheney Road. They have titled it, “The Backwoods at Adventure Golf.”
Co-owner Dylan Bohlke says they designed it to look and feel like a traditional golf course. He also states that this course will be much more challenging than the other two at the mini-golf center.
“This is 30 strokes longer on average, so it’s going to take a half-hour longer and it’s going to play more like an actual golf course,” Bohlke said.
The Backwoods features an 18-hole par 72 course. It also will have a bar serving alcoholic drinks towards the middle of the course.
The new course will be opened Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
Bohlke asks golfers to come prepared to play the course and arrive no later than 9 p.m. each day to finish by closing time.
Playing the course will cost a little extra. During the week, fees will be $12, while on the weekend it’ll cost $14.
The Backwoods will also be used for the 19+ and doubles divisions in the Cornhusker State Games.
Bohlke is also a participant in this season of ABC’s game show “Holey Moley.”
A watch party for Tuesday night’s episode was held for family and friends at The Railyard. The episode featured Bohlke beating three other golfers to advance to the finale.
