NEW DETAILS: Body identified in Malmo homicide investigation
Northern Nebraska investigators have confirmed the early morning death is a homicide.

MALMO, Neb. – The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) and the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating a homicide in Malmo.
This morning at approximately 9:30, the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a deceased female at the residence 230 Bowen Ave.
NSP and the Saunders County Sheriff’s are working a suspected Homicide in Malmo.

The Sheriff’s Office requested NSP investigators respond to the scene after locating the victim, who had suffered several stab wounds.
The victim has been identified as Kayla Matulka, 27, one of the location’s residence.
Investigators do not believe there is a threat to the public at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
