A new bill aimed at helping high school students get a jump start is moving forward in the Unicameral.

State Sen. Kate Bolz Introduced the The Access College Early Tech Promise Act.

LB 563 would award scholarships to encourage teens to get a head start, taking classes in their field while still in high school.

It’s aimed at occupations that are of high priority in Nebraska, that employers are having a hard time filling.
