NGPC involved in bighorn sheep tagging near Chadron
The Nebraska Game and Parks captured, processed and released bighorn sheep in the panhandle of Nebraska near Chadron this week.
The sheep received new tracking collars, ear tags and some received implant transmitters.
They underwent tissues samples and vaccinations.
This is all in an effort to minimize disease and keep the population healthy, as well as study lamb mortality rates.
More than 50 volunteers helped in the effort.
