No. 1 Nebraska rebounds from rough first set to defeat No. 22 Utah

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — No. 1 Nebraska volleyball defeated No. 22 Utah in four sets Friday night at the Bob Devaney Center.

NU won 21-25, 25-8, 25-18, 25-13 in the first game of the Husker Invitational.

Nebraska finished with a .303% hitting percentage, compared with .063% for the Utes.

The Huskers got off to a shaky start, with an error-riddled first set. Nebraska committed errors on both the first and last plays of the set.

But NU dominated in the second set, putting together two 7-0 scoring runs, and continued the momentum to win the match.

Rebekah Allick led the Huskers with 13 kills.

Bergen Reilly racked up 18 digs, and Laney Choboy added 12.

Next up, Nebraska plays Grand Canyon University at 6 p.m. Saturday. The match will be broadcast on Nebraska Public Media.
