No. 1 Nebraska volleyball stays unbeaten with sweep over California
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 1-ranked Nebraska volleyball team continued its early-season dominance Sunday, beating California in three sets.
The Huskers won 25-15, 25-18, 25-12 at the Bob Devaney Center.
As a team, Nebraska boasted a .419% hitting percentage, compared with Cal’s .088%.
Harper Murray shined for the Huskers, racking up a team-high 14 kills on a .370% hitting percentage.
Andi Jackson also had double-digit kills for the Huskers, tallying 12 with a .450% hitting percentage.
Bergen Reilly led the team in assists with 20, while Laney Choboy led the team in digs with 11.
Cal was paced by Peyton DeJardin with 7 kills, and Natalie Lau led the Golden Bears in assists with 20.
Nebraska will host three teams for the Husker Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Huskers will matchup with Utah on Friday and Grand Canyon on Saturday.
First serve for both games is set for 6 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Center.
