No. 10 Nebraska basketball escapes Ohio State to remain undefeated

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 10-ranked Nebraska men’s basketball team survived a close contest on Monday night, beating Ohio State 72-69 at the Schottenstein Center.
Nebraska was in front the entire game, getting out to a 10-1 lead only 2 minutes into the game.
But the Buckeyes battled back in the second half, taking their first lead of the game with 10 minutes left.
The Huskers regained the lead with 4:39 left and never gave it back, winning their 19th consecutive game dating back to last season.

As a team, the Huskers shot 44% from the floor and only 28% from beyond the arc. The Buckeyes shot 46% and 35% from deep.
There were four Huskers in double-digits, led by redshirt freshman Braden Frager with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Rienk Mast followed with 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting, while Pryce Sandfort and Jamarques Lawrence each had 11 points.
Sam Hoiberg filled the rest of the stat sheet, leading the team in both rebounds (nine), assists (four) and steals (two).
John Mobley Jr. led the Buckeyes with 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting, while the Big Ten’s leading scorer Bruce Thornton racked up 16 points.
The Huskers will continue their road trip to Bloomington for a matchup with Indiana at Assembly Hall.
Tipoff is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network.
