LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – No. 15 Nebraska softball lost a heartbreaker to No. 14 Duke 3-0 on Friday at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in California.

The Huskers and Blue Devils went into the eighth inning, when Duke scored all three of its runs.

The Huskers have now lost back-to-back games against top-15 opponents.

Jordy Bahl gave Nebraska everything she had, pitching a complete game.

Bahl recorded 10 strikeouts while throwing 133 pitches. She also had two of Nebraska’s five hits.

But the Huskers’ offense could not find any footing, going 0-14 with runners on base.

Nebraska will be back on the diamond Saturday for a doubleheader against San Jose State and Howard.
