LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The No. 18-ranked Nebraska softball team avenged its loss to Missouri on Sunday, beating the Tigers 10-9 at Wilkins Stadium in the Wichita State Tournament.

The Huskers finished the tournament with a 3-2 record, locking down a winning record in their fourth-straight tournament.

As a team, Nebraska tallied 10 hits and only committed one error. The Tigers racked up nine hits without committing an error.

Nebraska went down 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning, but a 5-run outburst in the top of the second inning gave the Huskers the lead, and they never trailed again.

Jordyn Bahl, Olivia DiNardo and Hannah Camenzind each had two hits, while Bahl and DiNardo knocked in three RBIs apiece.

Those three Husker hitters each had a homerun as well. The Huskers now have a homerun in all 15 of their wins.

Bahl (8-3) got the win for the Huskers, pitching all seven innings while giving up eight hits, seven earned runs and striking out nine batters.

Nebraska will finally head home to host three teams — Northern Colorado, South Dakota State and Northern Iowa — in the Big Red Spring Fling.

The Huskers will play a double-header against Northern Colorado on Thursday with the first game starting at 2:30 p.m. at Bowlin Stadium.
