No. 19 Nebraska softball falls to UCLA in Big Ten Tournament

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 19 Nebraska softball team ended its run in the Big Ten Tournament on Friday, falling 4-2 to No. 9 UCLA at Bittinger Stadium.

The Huskers brought the score to within 1 run in the top of the sixth inning but couldn’t finish the comeback in West Lafayette, Indiana.

As a team, Nebraska tallied five hits and committed zero errors, while the Bruins racked up nine hits.

Hannah Camenzind led the Huskers from the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a triple.

Samantha Bland, Ava Kuszak and Ava Bredwell each tallied a hit for the Huskers.

Jordyn Bahl (23-6) took the loss in the circle, pitching six innings while allowing four runs and striking out 11 batters.

NU will await its fate for the NCAA tournament. The NCAA Softball Selection Show will air on Sunday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
