No. 2 Huskers hit five aces in sweep of Illinois

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 2 Huskers defeated Illinois volleyball in three sets Thursday night.
Nebraska won 15-18, 25-22, 25-17 on the road in Champaign.
The Huskers were dominant offensively, racking up five aces while hitting 0.305%.
The Illini managed only 0.217% hitting.
Merritt Beason led the way for Nebraska, with 10 kills and one ace.
Harper Murray followed with nine kills and one ace, and Taylor Landfair added eight kills.
Lexi Rodriguez led in digs, with 14, and also recorded an ace.
Kennedi Orr had two aces.
The Huskers next face Iowa on Sunday. The match starts at 2 p.m. at the Devaney Center and will be broadcast on Nebraska Public Media.
