No. 2 Nebraska dominates Iowa in sweep

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Huskers handled the Hawkeyes quickly on Wednesday night in a sweep on the road.

No. 2 Nebraska volleyball defeated Iowa 25-9, 25-16, 25-17 in Iowa City.

It was a commanding offensive performance for the Huskers, who outhit the Hawkeyes .472% to .082%.

That’s NU’s best hitting percentage in a Big Ten match since 207.

And on defense, Nebraska made 46 digs and nine blocks. Iowa managed only 28 and one, respectively.

Harper Murray recorded 11 kills and Lexi Rodiguez had 11 digs to lead NU.

The Huskers (27-1, 17-0 Big Ten) next face No. 6 Wisconsin.

That match will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network at 7 p.m. Saturday.
