No. 2 Nebraska sweeps No. 7 Wisconsin on the road

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — No. 2 Nebraska volleyball swept No. 7 Wisconsin on Friday night, writing a new chapter in their rivalry.

The Huskers defeated the Badgers 25-21, 25-22, 25-19 in Madison

It’s Nebraska’s first road win against Wisconsin since 2013.

It’s also the first time the Huskers have beaten the Badgers in just three sets since 2016.

Each set was a close battle typical of their matchups. Neither team led by more than 5 until Nebraska’s final point

NU outhit Wisconsin .202% to .094% while racking up five aces.

Taylor Landfair led Nebraska with 13 kills, followed by Merritt Beason with 11.

Lexi Rodriguez and Olivia Mauch recorded two aces, and Kennedi Orr added 1.

Rodriguez had 12 digs to lead the defense.
