No. 2 Nebraska volleyball defeats Illinois in fourth straight sweep

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — No. 2 Nebraska volleyball made quick work of Illinois on Friday night at the Devaney Center.
The Huskers coasted in the first two sets, winning 25-17 and 25-19.
The Fighting Illini put up a fight in the third set, but Nebraska prevailed 28-26.
It was the fourth straight sweep for Nebraska, which is now 19-1.
NU outhit Illinois .339% to .217%.
Merritt Beason led Nebraska with 13 kills, followed by Andi Jackson with 11.
Beason also tacked on four aces for the Huskers.
Bergen Reilly and Lexi Rodriguez each had 10 digs to lead the defensive effort. Harper Murray added nine.
Nebraska plays Michigan at 7 p.m. Saturday. The match will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
