No. 2 Nebraska volleyball downs No. 21 Ohio State in three sets

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska volleyball began the Big Ten season Friday night, and it looked much like the Huskers’ nonconference play.

Nebraska swept No. 21 Ohio State 25-14, 25-16, 25-21 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The Huskers are now 10-0 and have won all their games in under five sets.

Nebraska hit at .333%, compared with the Buckeyes’ 0.90%.

Merritt Beason led the Huskers with 14 kills and two aces. Harper Murray added 11 kills.

Beason also led in digs, with nine. Murray had eight, and Laney Choboy added seven.

Ally Batenhorst recorded seven blocks.

The Huskers play No. 12 Minnesota at home at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. That game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
