The Huskers got out to a fast start, taking a 20-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
But the Trojans got hot. USC outscored Nebraska 53-32 in the middle two quarters to take a 65-52 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Huskers’ attempt at a comeback fell short as they are in the losing column for the first time this season.

The Huskers sank 19 of their 21 free throws to shoot 90% from the charity stripe. The Trojans shot 59% from the line.
